If you are looking for relaxation this is it. Simonne, owner of Genesta house welcomes you with open arms. All the goodies in the fridge and on my trolley was absolutely yummy, from home made Granola, chocolates, cheeses, quince paste, bread, condiments and more. Thank you Simonne for a relaxing stay. Huge modern bathroom, spotlessly clean, high quality amenities and well equipped. Delicious continental breakfast ( very yummy home made granola). The Genesta is only a short walk from downtown dining and penguin parade and koala center are a short drive away. Although we only briefly met our host she was charming and helpful. The B&B is in a very good location, just a few steps from the beach and shops/restaurants. The house and garden are very nice, as is the room. We were given an incredibly nice welcome by Simonne (and the lovely dog Max) and spoilt with extras (chocolate, port...). Simonne is a host with heart and soul and gave us wonderful advice on excursions. She also got us tickets for the penguin parade (the parade was magical...)... The breakfast was also delicious. Eine wundervolle Unterkunft in einem alten Haus, das perfekt renoviert wurde und den Charme des Gebäudes bewahrt hat. Zu jedem der drei Zimmer gehört eine eigene Veranda. Schöne Einrichtung, sehr sauber und mit persönlicher Betreuung durch Simonne, die sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich ist. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The house itself provided a great setting for a nice relaxing weekend away. Walking distance to Cowes foreshore and restaurants/shops but far enough away to be fairly quiet. Really appreciated the friendly and helpful check in Simonne provided as well as the little treats and extra touches provided during our stay. Will definitely consider returning here when we decide to revisit the island. Highly recommended.
